ANTLIA by Steve Coe 13" f/5.6 unless noted NGC 2997 Pretty faint, very large, elongated 1.5 X 1 in PA 90, very suddenly brighter middle with an almost stellar nucleus, there is some mottling at 150X. A 12th mag star is located on the NW rim. NGC 3056 Pretty faint, pretty small, elongated 1.5 X 1 in PA 0, gradually brighter middle, 12th mag star on North tip at 150X. NGC 3089 Very faint, pretty small, round, not much brighter in the middle, low surface brightness object at 150X. There are two stars on the eastern edge, one 10th mag, one 13th. NGC 3175 Pretty bright, large, much elongated 3 X 1 in PA 45, gradually brighter middle at 150X. This nice edge one galaxy shows an obvious nuclear bulge. NGC 3223 Pretty bright, pretty large, elongated 1.5 X 1 in PA 90, considerably brighter middle at 150X. NGC 3257 Faint, small, little elongated in PA 90 at 150X. NGC 3258 Pretty faint, pretty large, brighter middle, round. NGC 3258C Very faint, pretty large, round, not brighter middle, low surface brightness. NGC 3267 Faint, small, elongated 1.5X1 in PA 165, little brighter in the middle at 150X. NGC 3268 Pretty bright, pretty large, brighter middle and little elongated in PA 0. NGC 3269 Pretty faint, pretty small, little brighter middle, elongated 2X1 in PA 0. IC 2522 Faint, pretty large, round, very little brighter middle at 150X, there is a double star 5' north. IC 2537 Faint, pretty large, elongated 1.5 X 1 in PA 0, very little brighter in the middle at 150X.
